Ferax is a syrup manufactured by Pax Healthcare that is formed as a combination of salts namely Ferrous Ascorbate and Folic Acid. It’s a syrup that helps in the cure of anemia which is commonly known as a lack of blood or a lower number of red blood cells. It mainly occurs due to poor diet and sometimes due to pregnant ladies suffering from this condition when the quantity of folate is increased in the body.
Ferrous Ascorbate and Folic Acid belong to the class of ‘haematinics’. The medicine of this class specializes in curing the problems related to anemia. It works by increasing the number of red blood cells thereby increasing the hemoglobin. The medicine provides intensive benefits but sometimes the excessive use of the same will result in adverse effects.
The salt used in the composition has its own nature that benefits the body.
It is an iron supplement to cure iron deficiency anemia. Iron plays a vital role in enhancing immunity, and anticarcinogenic and cognition-enhancing activities. Iron is essentially known for the production growth of hemoglobin and salt provides it in the supplement form.

Anticonvulsants contain phenobarbital, primidone, phenytoin, sodium valproate, carbamazepine, antibiotics commonly formed with chloramphenicol, cotrimoxazole, trimethoprim, an antimanic drug that contains lithium, water tablet usually triamterene, anti-inflammatory drug that is sulfasalazine, painkillers such as aspirin and anticancer drug which is methotrexate.
